Hi feminists,

Following our Showroom meeting yesterday, where we discussed The Women’s March in March- (the 9th to be precise!!), and plans for inclusion at The Festival of Debate 2019- our spirits were rejuvenated with plans for future meetings and the year ahead!!

If you are out and about in town today-why not have your spirits illuminated by dropping into Waterstones for a talk by the women who campaigned against pit closures in the early 90s’ from 4.30 today!!

You Can’t Kill the Spirit!!

The story of the women against pit closures who set up camp 24/7 for over five months, outside some of the most threatened collieries in January 1993 to stop the further destruction of mining communities. Please come and celebrate the publication of our book and share your stories with us Book launch:  Waterstones Book Shop Orchard Square, Sheffield S1 2FB SUNDAY 13 JANUARY, 4.30 pm (Coffee/tea & cake available to buy in the cafe from 4pm) And from 6 pm at the Grapes80 Trippet Lane, S14EN
