and coffee’s served for a small fee. also we ask for a wee donation to
help with room hire.
The next Meeting is on 16th February at 7.15pm we have a talk from Ibtisam Al-Farah who will give a talk on Women and Arab Spring Revolution: Six Years on and a long way ahead.
Short summary of the talk:
January 2017 is the 6th anniversary of the Arab Spring, the revolution
where women played a variety of roles but noticeably, women have been
“intimidated and threatened” in unexpected ways. Now we have to ask: what did the
revolution do for women and what does the future of them look like?
this meeting will also be our AGM so there will be an update on business
from the WILPF sheffield branch.
it would be lovely to see you,
Rosie Horsley (Sheffield WILPF branch secretary)
